Why Buy Organic?

If you've been following any of the fashion trends in the past few years, I'm sure you have noticed an increase in the number of brands offering organic cotton or bamboo garments. Consumer interest in "going Green" has grown tremendously, thus pushing clothing designers and manufacturers to produce eco-friendly clothing and accessories. Not only are major labels producing these organic lines, but smaller businesses, and neighborhood boutiques are getting in on the trend.

Some consumers want to know why prices seem so high on items that are made with bamboo or organic cotton. I've included some links to articles about organic fabrics that may help sort out the confusion.

Here is a picture of bamboo strapless top that I made. It is a beautiful cream-colored top with a slight texture to the fabric. Fabric is very soft and feels a lot like cotton. It is light and breezy; perfect for a summer day. Elastic at the top of the shirt prevents it from sliding down. Accented with an antique-looking filigree button.
